Help the Paw’d Squad Animal Rescue Build A Sanctuary
Picture this...
he sun rises and a howl is heard in the distance. The dogs begin to stir at The Casa de Canines: snuffling, shaking off the night dreams and then joining in the howl. They exit from their indoor kennels complete with dog beds, couches and padded rugs, thru the doggie doors to greet the day. A few go over to the grassy area in the outdoor runs to do their morning business. Some climb on top of their dog houses to be the first to see “Mom” bringing breakfast. This place is quite a change from their previous existences…alone on the street, tied to a tree, abandoned at the shelter. The puppies begin a tug of war over at The Puppy Palace. And at the Fine Whine Club, the older dogs shake off the arthritis, slowly make their way off their raised, cushioned dog beds and eagerly await their morning meal.
Sure, it’s great here, but in the back of all their minds….”will this be the day they come? My forever family? Will this be the day someone comes and takes me home with them?”
Across the way…the inhabitants over at the Kitten Kingdom are revving up for their morning ritual. Chase tail, play with ball, groom a little, eat breakfast, purrrrrrrrr, scratch on post, take a catnap. A typical day for these lucky felines that were rescued from their life on the street. A little less lively over at Old Deuteronomy’s Digs, but still a heavenly place to be considering most of them were on their way to a different kind of “heaven”, no longer wanted by their owners and destined for a shorter life than they were intended. Now they are all loved again and pampered as they should be, whether or not they will be adopted and live their days out in a “home” of their own, or here at the sanctuary with people who think they’re wonderful no matter how old they are.
Right now this is all a dream. It’s the dream the Paw’d Squad Animal Rescue would like to see come true – a sanctuary to call their own.
Every day we have to turn away dogs and cats because we just don’t have any room. Our fosters are sleeping on the edge of their beds, they are shaving with kittens sitting on their heads. It’s getting crowded….but how can we say NO? We have to, we don’t want to and it breaks our hearts.
Help the Paw’d Squad see their dream come true. We have a special fund set aside to buy us land and build some kennels and catteries. Keep it simple, start small.
If you would like to be a part of our dream, you can mail a donation to the address listed below or use PayPal to make a contribution to the Sanctuary Fund. Every little bit will help.
We know it won’t happen tomorrow….maybe not even next year. But we are determined. It WILL happen!
NOTE: If you decide to contribute something specifically for the Sanctuary Fund, please indicate this with your donation. Thank you!
