Every once in awhile, the Dog Division decides to take a weekend off from adoptions and just hang out with our "home dogs". This past weekend (6/30/07) we all met up at Huntington Beach Dog Beach for a day of sun, surf and sand. The dogs all had a great time and were exhausted by the end of the day. Just ask Jack....our Dog Division's senior Rottie. By the end of the day, he just wanted to kick back in the shade.

The Pit In

On May 3rd, The Paw'd Squad took it to the streets and staged a Pit In at Clear Channel Radio in Burbank. Host Bill Handel and his sidekick Rich Morada from KFI AM 640 have stated often that they were not too fond of the breed and well, we had just had enough and decided to show them how GREAT pitbulls really were. Bill was great and came down to meet the dogs, talk to us and even posed for a picture (he's the tall guy holding the sign). Did we change his mind about pitbulls? Maybe!

March 18 at Best Friends Adoption Festival

Volunteers with Booda

The Best Friends March Super Adoption went really well for Paw'd Squad. 3 dogs and 3 cats were adopted! We still have Booda but he was very happy to hang out with two of our volunteers. Kyle (who did get adopted) was worn out and just couldn't keep his head by mid-day. And well, it even wore out some of our volunteers who found a quiet moment to take a quick snooze.

Jan. 6, 2007 at Centinela Feed and Pet

Adoption at Centinela Feed & Pet

It was a doggie picnic on January 6, 2007 at Centinela Feed and Pet with a group of our dogs and volunteers having a great time socializing and catching up on holiday activities. We like to have as many dogs as possible mingle outside their adoption show crates so that their social skills are always improving.
