 awsfest 2004 at Central Park was a great success for The Pawíd Squad. Everyone had a great time playing the games, listening to music, bidding on the silent auction and visiting our terrific vendor booths. The best part was being visited by some of our adopted dogsÖ.they came back to say hi and have a day in the park!
 Roscoe was one of our very first rescues and seeing him made our Dog Leader burst into tears. Roscoe brought along his sister Hunter to have some fun at Pawsfest.

WHAT: The Paw'd Squad Animal Rescue in association with the Doris Day Animal Foundation's 10th annual Spay Day USA presents NEUTERPALOOZA. This will be a fun evening of live entertainment featuring DJ Philly D (courtesy of Blonde Rice Productions), as well as the music of The Rocking Scoundrels, Citrus, and Phatso. Also, Jack Black will be making a special guest appearance to this event!

WHY: As part of the educational outreach program of the Paw'd Squad, we are holding awareness-raising special events open to the general
public. With over 4 million homeless cats and dog killed annually in the United States, the importance of spay/neuter as a means of population control cannot be emphasized enough. The goal of NEUTERPALOOZA is for people to have fun, hear some good music, and hopefully go home with some awareness about responsible care of companion animals. We will have information available on spay/neuter and low-cost resources.

Beverly Hard Rock Cafe fundraiser, January 10, 2004
The Paw'd Squad recently held our first major fundraising event at The Beverly Hard Rock Cafe. Thank you to everyone who performed and attended the event. (performers included Laura Kightlinger, Merrill Markoe, The Naked Trucker, Jim Turner and more) We all had a great time and we raised approximately $4,000.00 for The Paw'd Squad Sanctuary and Education funds. Thank you again to everyone who helped make this event a success for The Paw'd Squad Animal Rescue.
"Spay Day" is coming up.......Keep your ears and eyes open for our next event! Hope to see ya there!
