Sunny Delite

You might have to sit down to read this story... it's so unbelievable. On May 20, 2008 a woman found an emaciated Rottie running the streets of the Valley. She called a "rescue" (yes, a "rescue" who is listed on Petfinder.com) who said they had a home for the dog and this "rescue" picked up Sunny from the Good Samaritan. Well where did this "rescue" take Sunny? THE EAST VALLEY SHELTER. Yep... a "rescue" dumped her at the shelter and lied to the Good Samaritan. Thank goodness the Animal Control Officer was on the ball. He immediately called Rottweiler Rescue and they came and got Sunny Delite out of the shelter. She weighed 37 pounds and was a terrified ball of fur and bones. Seven months later... good food, love, attention and lots of socialization with other dogs... look at Sunny now! It was a slow process but this pup is loving and alert and is now 65 pounds. This is what a good rescue does... takes time, has patience and really, really cares about the dogs. She will do great in a home with any size dog... she was playing with a chihuahua at our adoption event on 12/20/08 and she and Jeffrey got along great! Sunny's favorite food (and this dog loves food) is Doggie Banana/Peanut Butter Frozen Yogurt. Thank you Rottweiler Rescue of Los Angeles for saving Sunny Delite.
