Leilani started off being sold in box in front of a Walmart and look at her now.   When Sara came to adoptions to find a dog, it was love at first sight for both Leilani and Sara.    The day after the home visit, Sara emailed us the following:

 

"Hey Guys!

Leilani is doing AMAZING!  We have been together 24-7 since you left the house, literally.  We're totally bonded, and her true AMAZING personality is starting to come out!  AH! I love her more & more every day.  We are really working hard at house training.  We've had a few accidents for sure, but I think it's getting better.  It's hard, because it's cold & rainy outside, and she definitely hates going out in it.  She's great during the day when it's dry & warm outside.  But cold, wet nights are a different story.  Smart&Final Paper Towels have become my best friend.  But, she's definitely happy- she plays A LOT! (I'm exhausted, haha)  We've met so many people, and she's already got some puppy friends around the neighborhood.  She's claimed my whole house, too.  Whenever anyone comes to the door, she doesn't hesitate to let them know this is her place.  God, it's cute!  Thanks again guys, for all of your help. " 

And two weeks later, Leilani is housebroken and the Queen of the Neighborhood.
