It was a Friday afternoon when Gayle, a woman who works with me, decided it was time for her to get a cat and wanted to try to foster a declawed, preferably female cat about 6 years old. I was thrilled to death to hear from Gayle because fosters are very hard to find. I told her as soon as I had a cat that fit the bill, I would let her know. I had no idea I would be calling her so soon. Believe it or not, the very next day while at my weekly adoptions, I was approached by a woman who had to place her 6 year old, female declawed on all four paws cat. She had to place the cat immediately because her child was deathly allergic and they were about to throw Patches outside. As a last ditch effort she stopped at my adoptions to see if we could help. I got the woman's number contacted Gayle first thing Monday morning and the rest is history. As you can see from the photo, Patches has adjusted beautifully in her new home. Gayle and her get along great and Gayle has decided she is done with fostering and Patches is moving in permanently. These are two very lucky girls as they are a perfect match made to order.......
