Julian

Sex: male - Birthdate: 5/04 - Declawed: no

Julian showed up at a feral cat colony one day, and the caretaker alerted us that there was a very sick looking cat that needed help. Once he was trapped and brought to the vet, it was obvious that he wasn't "feral", but just needed a lot of help, as he had a very bad case of mange and also a deep, infected wound from his scratching so much. He also tested positive for FIV. FYI: cats with FIV can live a LONG, healthy life with good care (you can read more about FIV-positive cats at the Best Friends website). Well, it took him quite a few lyme dips and ivermectin injections, but look at him now! He also had to have a little "nip & tuck" on his eyes, as his eyelashes were turning inwards towards his eyes (a result of the mange). Just goes to show you what a little TLC will do! This boy is just full of love and we are SO glad we were able to save him. He's a wonderful cat so please do not pass him by just because he happens to be FIV positive. They can live well into their teen's with good care.
