ne Eyed Lucky Jones is a Shih Tzu or Shih Tzu mix. He was rescued after living on the streets with a homeless young person. "Lucky" was attacked by another dog and went without medical treatment for three weeks before we intervened and got the poor guy to a vet. His right eye was punctured and dead so he had surgery to remove what was left of it. He was also neutered in the process. One Eyed Lucky Jones is healing well and is looking for his forever home where he can lay around on dog beds and go for walks without worrying when he will eat again or where he'll find shelter. Here is what his foster has to say:
* We are pretty sure he is a Shih Tzu - he was pretty matted and dirty when we got him and though the vet tried to shave some of the matts - he can't be groomed yet because of the surgeries.
* Male/neutered
* Young - the vet guesses about a year old
* One eyed - he lost the right eye
* Vaccinated
* Sweet disposition - loves people and other dogs - gets along with my three big dogs - enjoys hanging out with them and following them around
* Has been interested in cats while on a walk - but I don't know what he would do if he were up close to one
* Housebroken - at least here in my house he has not had an accident - but I do keep a pretty close eye on him. Remember - he was living on the street for who knows how long.
* Loves to walk
* Loves car rides
* Doesn't know how to play with toys
* Comes to his name "lucky"...
* Good in a crate
