Levee

Levee is a sweet rottie girl from the streets of New Orleans. She was rescued by a Paw'd Squad volunteer who was working with a group saving animals in the city. They were heading out of town to escape hurricane Rita when they picked up this timid girl. Levee is great on a leash and in the car. Her favorite activity is to roll in the grass and loves to put her head in your lap.

Levee has tested positive for heart worms and is looking for a VERY quiet place to relax while she is being treated. She needs crate rest for the next 4-6 weeks while she undergoes treatment to destroy the heart worms. She must not exert herself or have any excitement until she recovers. Once the treatment is complete Levee will be able to lead a normal life. The environment should be as calm as possible and very secure…..Levee is not spayed and cannot be spayed until her treatment is completed. It is imperative that she cannot “escape” from her foster/permanent home.

If you are interested in fostering or adopting Levee please let us know right away. She is a total love of a dog who needs a special friend.
