JADE LOVES TO PLAY WITH OTHER DOGS!! She is very sweet and submissive but loves to play play and then play some more! If you have an energetic dog who would love a doggie friend to play with, then look no further. Jade gets along with every dog she's ever met. She loves the dog park and hiking in Runyon canyon and loves to go on morning jogs! I work at an animal shelter and Jade's time was up... I couldn't see such a wonderful sweet young dog get put to sleep, even though I have a female dog that does NOT tolerate other female dogs. So I keep Jade in a separate side yard for now, but she really deserves a loving home where she can come inside (and where she is not at risk of being hurt by a dog if someone happened to get through a door accidentally). She is housebroken too! I take her to work with me every day, and she hangs out in my office all day with just a gate across the door and is perfectly behaved. Jade does still need some training - she is only 1 year old and has that puppy curiosity! She dug in some of my dog's holes in my yard, and she likes to chew up sticks and anything else she can find that might be a toy in the yard. (Rubber Boots do kind of look like dog toys, in her defense.) In my office, she hasn't chewed up anything except her dog chews. She just needs typical puppy training and lots of fun things to play with and chew on if you are going to leave her unsupervised. She does not like to be left totally alone outside, and will cry some until she settles down. If she's with another dog, she's happy. I had to use a citronella bark collar on her (sprays citronella if she barks) the first few nights she was locked in my side yard. You can rent one from our shelter if you need it for $4 a day. But Jade would be happiest sleeping inside, and did so in one of the prior homes that adopted her (and returned her for chasing their cats). She will chase CATS and anything else small and furry. Jade also is fearful of random strange men and will bark at them. She is currently receiving training from Brandon Fouche to correct this, but because of this we suggest a dog-experienced home who are comfortable continuing working with her on this issue.
