 OT SLIMFAST? My name is Gidget and I am a chihuahua/lab mix. (Yes, you read that right!) My guardian died two years ago and his widow has been trying to take care of me. She’s very, very old and is almost blind and well, she hadn’t realized that without walks I was going to gain a lot of weight. So I weigh 71 pounds and should lose 30 pounds so I can look slim and trim again. I’m a very nice dog who does need slow, short walks to help me regain my girlish figure. Even if you can’t adopt me, can you please foster me? You see, the nice old lady is moving to a retirement home and can’t take me with her. Pretty soon, I really won’t have any place to live or anyone to watch my diet. The vet says I am in perfect shape…just overweight so you don’t have to worry about giving me any medicine or anything like that. Just a little food, love and little, slow walks. Please….I’m kinda feeling desperate.
