Want to see more dogs like this one? We may have other Rottweilers up for adoption.

Achilles

Achilles is a sweetheart of a puppy that has no idea of his limitations. Yes, Achilles was born with a birth defect. His right front paw is twisted and the bones are malformed. The tendons in his ankle are also not “tight” so his paw is just a little “floppy”. BUT he can stand on his leg and he does walk on it and it does not need and should not be amputated. He gets along just fine and runs up and down the yard and the stairs with all the other dogs. Achilles will need to be kept trim because of this little problem but hey…who wants a fat Rottweiler? And just think how much fun you will have at obedience class saying “Achilles, heel!” Achilles knows some commands but needs some help with his leash manners. He is so kind and loving….no one should let a little paw problem stand in the way of adopting this pup.
