Trooper
Want to know more about this big guy? Check out his profile page.

This is Trooper. We previously had him on our website, but we had to remove him for a while because he needed more training before he could be adoptable. Well, we have trained him thoroughly, and he is now ready to go to a happy home, preferably one where he would be the only pet. Although he gets along with some other dogs, Trooper is rather needy and wants your undivided attention. He would do best with someone who can be with him for most of the day. Thanks to his training, he won't cause any trouble. He is a very gentle, well-behaved dog who can be kept indoors without any problems. If you are interested in adopting Trooper, please fill out this application.

Speaking of dog training, it's not enough that your dog knows how to sit, stay and roll over. Big dogs like Trooper also need to understand that you are the alpha-dog in the house. It's not enough to be loved by the "power breeds"; you also have to be respected. There is a difference! The Paw'd Squad cannot emphasize enough how important this is! We can recommend trainers who deal with specific breeds, such as staffies and Rottweilers. Just send us an e-mail. And above all, don't delay. If you sense that you are having a problem with your dog, e-mail us or find an appropriate trainer as soon as possible. Don't let a little problem become a big one.

And for those puppies, get them into an obedience class as soon as they have received their rabies shots. This not only starts them on the right path to a respectful, well-bonded relationship with you, it also helps socialize them with other dogs and unfamiliar people. Again, The Paw'd Squad can recommend a class for you and your pup.

Paw'd Squad always works hard to look after our pets and we keep up with the times by reading items online like the The SafePaw ice melt blog because after all SafePaw is the best pet safe ice melter we have found on the market. It protects our pets from the harsh winters, blistering cold, and road salts. For more information go to safepaw.com and read more.
